Tunnexa Terms of Service

These terms set the rules for using Tunnexa VPN. In short: use it lawfully, don't use it to harm anyone, and know that the free service comes as it is, with no promises about speed or uptime.

How we handle your data is in our separate privacy policy.

These Terms of Service (“terms”) are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name] (“we”, “us”) about your use of Tunnexa VPN: the Android app, our servers and tunnexa.com.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using Tunnexa, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Tunnexa.

2. The Tunnexa service

Tunnexa is a virtual private network (VPN) app for Android 7.0 or later. It sends your device’s internet traffic through an encrypted tunnel to a Tunnexa server.

  • As a guest, with no account, you can use the free server locations, the Recommended, WireGuard and OpenVPN UDP protocols, and DNS leak protection.
  • With a free account, you can also use OpenVPN TCP, AmneziaWG and Stealth, Kill Switch & Always On, Auto Connect, Ad & Tracker Shield and Split Tunneling.

We may add, change or remove servers, locations, protocols and features, for example to keep Tunnexa secure or running well. If we remove something important, we’ll try to tell you first.

3. Who can use Tunnexa

You must be at least 18 to use Tunnexa.

You’re responsible for making sure that using a VPN is legal where you are. Some countries restrict VPNs, and many networks, like those at work, college or a hotel, have their own rules. Those laws and rules still apply when you use Tunnexa.

4. Accounts

An account is optional. You can create one with an email code, Google or Apple. If you do, please:

  • use an email address you control, and keep access to it secure
  • keep the account for yourself: don’t share it, sell it or use it to get around the connection limit

You’re responsible for what happens under your account, unless it happens because we failed to protect it. You can remove devices under Account › Connected Devices, and delete your account any time: open Settings, tap your account at the top, then Delete account. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a Google Play subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Tunnexa to:

  • break any law, or help anyone else break one
  • send spam or other bulk unsolicited messages
  • attack, scan, probe or disrupt any network, server or device, including denial-of-service attacks
  • spread malware, phishing pages or other harmful code
  • get into accounts, systems or data you aren’t allowed to access
  • infringe copyright, trademarks or anyone else’s rights
  • harass, threaten, defraud or exploit other people
  • create, share or access child sexual abuse material
  • overload or interfere with our servers, or resell or share access to Tunnexa
  • reverse engineer the app or our servers, except where the law or an open-source license allows it

Respect the rules of the networks you connect through and the laws where you are. If we reasonably believe you’ve broken this section, we may limit, suspend or end your access (section 12).

6. Connection limit

To keep servers fair for everyone, an account can be connected on a limited number of devices at the same time. If you reach the limit, the app tells you, so you can disconnect another device. We may change the limit, and the app shows it when it applies to you.

7. Free service, provided as is

Tunnexa is free to use right now. We don’t charge guests or free accounts, and we don’t ask for payment details. Because it’s free:

  • we don’t promise that any server, location, protocol or speed will always be available
  • we may limit use of the free service to protect our servers or other users
  • we may change or stop the free service, and if we stop it entirely, we’ll give notice in the app where we reasonably can

8. Premium

Premium is coming soon. When it launches, it will be an optional paid plan that you buy through Google Play:

  • Google Play will handle payment, renewals, cancellations and refunds, under its own terms and policies
  • subscriptions will renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play
  • we’ll add the details, including what Premium includes, to these terms before it launches

Until then, nothing in Tunnexa costs money. Want to hear when it’s ready? Get notified.

9. Privacy

Our Tunnexa Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don’t keep logs of your browsing, your connection history, your traffic or your DNS lookups.

10. The app and our rights

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Tunnexa app on Android devices you own or control, under these terms.

The Tunnexa name, logo and app design belong to [Operator legal name]. The app includes open-source software, such as WireGuard and OpenVPN components, which comes with its own license terms; for those components, those terms apply. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Third-party services

Tunnexa relies on services from other companies, including Google Play, Google and Apple sign-in, and Google’s Firebase. Their terms also apply when you use them. We aren’t responsible for the websites, apps or services you reach through Tunnexa.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Tunnexa at any time by uninstalling it, and you can delete your account in the app.

We may suspend or end your access, or close your account, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if your use puts our servers, other users or other people at risk. Where it’s reasonable and lawful, we’ll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

Sections 13, 14 and 15, and any others that by their nature should continue, still apply after your use ends.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Tunnexa running well and your traffic private, but:

  • Tunnexa is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability or non-infringement.
  • A VPN doesn’t make you anonymous. Sites you sign in to still know it’s you, and a VPN can’t protect you from malware, phishing or unsafe apps.
  • Kill Switch & Always On relies on Android’s own settings and only works while they’re switched on.
  • A VPN can add a little latency, and some sites and apps block or limit VPN connections.

Some places don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Tunnexa. Our total liability for any claim about Tunnexa is limited to the greater of what you paid us for Tunnexa in the 12 months before the claim and [amount].

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [Country / State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be handled by the courts of [Jurisdiction]. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may be able to bring a claim in your local courts.

Before going to court, please email support@tunnexa.com. Most problems can be sorted out that way.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when Premium launches or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Tunnexa after that, you accept the new terms; if you don’t accept them, stop using Tunnexa and delete your account.

17. General

  • These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Tunnexa.
  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
  • You can’t transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over Tunnexa, and your rights stay the same.

18. Contact
