Why we built it

Why Tunnexa exists

Most people don’t go looking for a VPN. They end up needing one: on hotel Wi-Fi that asks for a room number, in an airport lounge, on a college network that blocks half the internet, or at a café with the password on a chalkboard.

The free VPNs they find can make it hard to tell what’s going on. Some want a card for a “free trial”. Some won’t connect until you make an account. Some stay vague about what they keep.

We wanted a VPN that’s easy to trust because there’s nothing to decode. Tap Skip, tap connect, and read exactly what happens to your data in our no-logs policy, a page you can finish over a coffee.

Install it, tap connect, and know exactly what we keep. That was the whole brief.

The Tunnexa team
What we believe

Four rules we build Tunnexa by

Simple to say, harder to keep. Here is what each one means in the app.

Free to start

Every server is free right now. You never type in card details to use Tunnexa, so there's no trial to remember to cancel. No card, no trial

No account needed

Tap Skip and you're in as a guest. An account is there for the extra tools, and all it asks for is an email address, or your Google or Apple sign-in.Tap Skip

Honest about limits

A VPN adds a little latency. It won't make you anonymous, and it can't fix Wi-Fi that's down. We'd rather say so up front than have you find out later. No hype

Strict no-logs

We don't keep your browsing history, connection history, traffic or DNS lookups. The little an account does keep is listed, item by item, with the reason.Every item listed

How it's paid for

How a free VPN pays its way

Servers cost money every month. Here's who pays for them, now and later.

Today

Free, and we cover the servers

Nothing in Tunnexa costs money right now. Every location is free, and a free account opens every protocol and privacy tool. We pay for the servers while Tunnexa grows.

Coming soon

Premium will fund the network

Premium will add every VPN location and Specialty servers for gaming, streaming and file sharing, billed through Google Play. The people who choose it will keep the free version running for everyone else.

There's no browsing data to sell. We don't keep it in the first place. And you won't need Premium to stay private; it's for more places to connect, not more privacy.
